Competition Format:

10 Minute Pitch, followed by 5 minutes of Q&A from judges. 2 rounds in one day.

1st round: Teams will pitch in front of a panel of judges against teams in their category

Finals: The winning teams from each category and 1 or 2 wild-card teams will pitch in front of the judges, audience, and other competitors for additional prizes.

9:30am: Welcome - UAlbanu ETEC, room 149/151

10:00am: 1st round pitches begin - multiple rooms

12:00pm: Lunch and 1st round winner announced - ETEC Atrium

12:30: Final round - ETEC room 149/151

2:30: Winners announced and awards

Blackstone LaunchPad's 8th annual Innovation Competition is an opportunity you don't want to miss. The poster session and the competition are excellent opportunities to showcase your ideas, network with fellow entrepreneurs, and gain exposure to the business community. 2023 Prizes:

$3,000 Grand Prize - 1st place in finals

$1,500 Second Place in finals

$500 Third Place in finals

Special Awards:

Under-represented Founder: $250

Best pitch by a Venture founded buy a woman, minority, veteran, or disabled student.

Underclassman: $250

Best pitch by a venture founded by a student that is either a Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior.


Preliminary Round Prizes (3 or 4 categories will be determined based on competitors):

1st place in each category: $500

2nd place in each category: $250
